I began my photography adventures way back in the early 2000s, a hobby more than anything has now turned into my profession. Documenting my son's youth football matches as he progressed through the age groups/ seasons quickly filled my spare time, as he grew so did my skillset and equipment. Fast forward to 2016, I took the plunge into further education with the aim of becoming a professional photographer. Attending New College Lanarkshire, completing my NQ, HNC and HND during my 3 years there. I progressed to studying my Bachelor of arts degree in professional photography. Graduating from Robert Gordon University in June 2020.
Sports photography is my main passion, what I consider my bread and butter work. Normally I'm found freezing the action of a pulsating football match or a hard-fought battle during a game of rugby, equally, I find capturing the acceleration and sheer speed of motorsports an exciting area to work within.
Over the years I have conducted extensive research into my chosen field, I take inspiration from the works of skilled photographer such as James Cannon and Marc Aspland as a strive to match their success.
